November 02, 2022Centra has announced it is partnering with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, to joint venture a new rehabilitation facility to serve the needs of the greater Lynchburg community. Pending customary regulatory approvals, the planning and construction will begin. This project is estimated to take two years, and the new facility is scheduled to open in 2025.

New Rehabilitation Hospital to Open in December under New Agreement Announced by Mercy and Lifepoint Rehabilitation
October 20, 2022Mercy and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, today announced a joint venture agreement for the new Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South. The new facility is scheduled to open by the end of the year on the campus of Mercy Hospital South. Lifepoint Rehabilitation will manage the day-to-day operations of the $37 million, two-story, standalone 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital. The hospital will provide care for adults recovering from conditions such as neurological disease, injury to the brain or spinal cord and other debilitating illnesses or injuries.

August 19, 2022COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center announces it is partnering with Kindred Rehabilitation Services (KRS), a business unit of LifePoint Health, to build and operate a new 80-bed, 86,000 square foot adult inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Columbus. The facility will specialize in treatment and research for patients with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries.
