Leapfrog evaluates general hospitals nationwide, assigning grades (A, B, C, D, or F) based on over 30 performance measures, reflecting areas such as errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, along with the preventive systems hospitals have in place.

Five Lifepoint hospitals recognized in 100 top rural and community hospitals
February 16, 2024The Chartis Center for Rural Health released its annual list of the top 100 rural and community hospitals in the U.S. on Feb. 15, and five Lifepoint hospitals were among those making this year's list. To determine the 2024 list, Chartis used the Chartis Rural Hospital Strength INDEX, which assesses performance in inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge and finance.
