Lifepoint Rehabilitation holds ribbon cutting ceremony for new rehabilitation hospital in Milwaukee

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, an operating division of Lifepoint Health, celebrated the grand opening of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek at a ribbon cutting alongside local leaders and community members in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.

The Oak Creek facility is one of three new rehabilitation hospitals Lifepoint Rehabilitation is currently advancing across Wisconsin, building on its history after opening the state's first free-standing rehabilitation hospital in Waukesha with ProHealth Care in 2008.

“We are excited to expand access to crucial rehabilitation care for patients in Oak Creek and the surrounding communities,” said Russ Bailey, President of Lifepoint Rehabilitation. “Providing high-quality, evidence-driven specialty care is the driving force in our work. We are deeply committed to investing in the people, communities, facilities and technologies that help us treat more medically complex patients close to home.”

The new 40-bed rehabilitation hospital is specially designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients and is outfitted with leading-edge amenities and adaptive units, including a brain injury unit, multidisciplinary therapy gyms, a specialized “activities of daily living” suite and outdoor courtyards designed to promote patient ambulation and activity.

The hospital's clinical teams are equipped to care for patients recovering from a wide range of complex conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple traumas, and amputation.

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek officially joins Lifepoint Rehabilitation’s growing national network of more than 50 inpatient rehabilitation facilities. It is located at 7840 South Highgate Avenue. For more information, please visit www.rehabhospitaloakcreek.com.
