LifePoint is dedicated to supporting our communities in every way. As a company, giving back to our communities and stepping up to help those in need is something we do well.
Offering Charity and Uncompensated Care
LifePoint’s hospitals provide charity and other uncompensated care to their communities across the nation.
Supporting Community Causes
LifePoint’s hospitals, clinics and providers are dedicated to supporting philanthropic initiatives in their communities.
In 2001, to augment charitable support in our communities, we established the LifePoint Community Foundation. In the last year alone, these grants have supported regional cancer organizations, provided scholarships to young nursing students, helped provide food and shelter to the homeless, and assisted in protecting women and children fleeing domestic violence.
Extending our Mission to Help Those in Need
In 2010, LifePoint established the Hope for Haiti initiative, a corporate-sponsored, nationwide effort to help support relief and recovery efforts following the earthquake that devastated the country. LifePoint employees, partners and communities collaborated to raise more than $110,000 to support organizations providing healthcare services in Haiti, and LifePoint staff from across the company traveled to Haiti to donate their time and expertise to help people hurt and displaced by the earthquake.
The LifePoint Health Disaster Response Fund was established to raise funds to help Haiti and now provides a permanent vehicle for philanthropic support in the event of future disasters. To make a donation click here.
Living Our Mission by Helping Our Own
When disasters hit LifePoint communities, we are always inspired by the courage, compassion and professionalism of our hospital associates and physicians. No matter what the circumstances – hurricanes, tornadoes, floods – they always rise to the challenge and become selfless heroes, doing whatever it takes to serve the needs of their communities.
Sometimes, members of the LifePoint family suffer losses because of disasters, and LifePoint is committed to helping them in return. LifeCare Disaster Recovery Fund serves as a mechanism to help associates who are victims of disasters with living expenses and other basic necessities. The LifeCare fund is administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. To make a tax-deductible donation, click here or mail a check to LifeCare Disaster Recovery Fund, P.O.
