Brentwood, Tenn. (July 29, 2019) – LifePoint Health®, a leading healthcare company dedicated to Making Communities Healthier®, today announced that it has appointed Shane Wells and Dan Davis as chief financial officers (CFO) for its Eastern and Mountain Divisions, respectively. In his new role, Wells will oversee financial operations for the organization’s Eastern Division, which includes hospitals in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia – including the 14 hospitals that comprise Duke LifePoint Healthcare. Davis will oversee financial operations for LifePoint’s Mountain Division, which includes facilities in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.

Wells joins LifePoint from IASIS Healthcare in Franklin, Tennessee, where he served as operations controller, providing financial oversight for 16 acute care hospitals, a number of freestanding surgery and imaging centers and more than 100 physician clinics in five states. He served as CFO for the company’s Eastern Division and Arizona Market prior to that. Before his time with IASIS, he provided financial leadership for a number of organizations in the industry, including as regional finance director for AnesthesiaCare in Dallas, Texas, and as CFO for Health Management Associates in Naples, Florida. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, and his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials from the state of Mississippi. He is a current member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Before joining LifePoint, Davis most recently served as a consultant/CFO within the North Texas Division of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Prior to that role, he was the managing director and CFO of INTEGRIS Health System, a regional 12-hospital system with 420 employed physicians, a trauma center, transplant center, cancer center and a dedicated women’s hospital located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Earlier in his career, he served as CFO of a number of HCA market health systems, partnerships and facilities in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana, including CFO of OU Health System, a three-hospital system in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Rapides Regional Health System, a five-hospital system in Alexandria, Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. He is a current member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and previously served as a Board Member of the Oklahoma Healthcare Financial Management Association.
