The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) recently recognized Riverview Regional Medical Center (RRMC) in Carthage, Tennessee, and Trousdale Medical Center (TMC) in Hartsville, Tennessee, with “Best Practice” designations in Quality and Patient Satisfaction, respectively.
Each hospital’s performance was evaluated against the Hospital Strength Index and then ranked against peers nationally. This index brings an important perspective to healthcare leaders making strategic and operational decisions, utilizing publicly available data sets to quantify overall hospital performance.
The Best Practice recipients in the Quality and Patient Satisfaction categories have achieved success based on more than 50 individual indicators and eight pillars of performance to include Inpatient Market Share, Outpatient Market Share, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspective, Cost, Charge and Financial Stability. Both RRMC and TMC landed a top 20 spot in their respective areas of recognition.
