Adam Martin Named CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg, Tenn. – (March 11, 2019) – Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg (STRHS-Lawrenceburg), part of LifePoint Health, today announced that Adam Martin has been named chief executive officer (CEO), effective March 25. Martin comes to STRHS-Lawrenceburg from Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH), another LifePoint Health facility in Wytheville, Virginia, where he most recently served as chief operating officer (COO). He will replace Cliff Wilson, who is currently serving as interim CEO.

“Adam is a charismatic leader who is dedicated to our mission of Making Communities Healthier and putting patients first,” said Cherie Sibley, president of LifePoint Health’s Central Division. “We are confident that his passion for keeping quality at the forefront, achieving operational excellence and driving growth will be a tremendous asset to STRHS-Lawrenceburg in the years to come.”

Prior to his most recent role at WCCH, where he has served since 2015, Martin previously served in several leadership roles, including as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief staffing officer (CSO) at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, and assistant controller at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.

“Adam possesses all of the key qualities we were looking for in a leader for STRHS-Lawrenceburg,” said Stacey Shedd, chairman of the hospital’s board of trustees. “He not only brings a wealth of operational expertise to his new role, but he also has an innate ability to foster effective provider relationships that enhance quality care and a passion for community engagement, all of which will have a tremendous impact here. We are so pleased he has chosen to call Lawrenceburg home.”

Martin holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with a Healthcare Administration emphasis, from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Tennessee and joining the STRHS-Lawrenceburg team in improving the health and well-being of this community,” said Martin. “I consider it a great privilege to help the hospital continue its legacy of providing high quality care close to home and look forward to contributing to the excellent work already happening here.”
